Two of my dear friends wer inducted into the BCA Hall of Fame last week- Johnny Archer and Allison Fisher. These two players have had such an impact on the sport of billiards and the industry. I congratulate them both for their accomplishments in the sport. I was honored to have been chosen by Allison to give her induction speech at the banquet. It was one of the most memorable moments in my life. I don’t have to go into the details of what these two players have done in the sport as the CueZilla.com audience are knowledgeable in the sport. I do however ask you to place your comments here about Allison and Johnny. I will send all of the comments posted beneath to each of them with our extended congratulations.

PS: don’t worry we have an awesome McWorter cue for this week’s edition of CueZilla.com! It will be posted tomorrow. Today is all about Allison & Johnny!

I would like to congratulate Johnny and Allison for their induction into the hall-of-fame. Truly, a great honor and well deserved.
Obviously, their accomplishments on the pool table put them in a very rare league of players. Just as importantly, they have been great representatives for professional pool. From what I’ve seen, they act very professionally and graciously. They are both about the same age as me, so I’ve had the pleasure of watching them for many years. I thank them for that.
Both of these great champions are still young and have a lot of great pool left in them, so I look forward to many more years of enjoyment watching them play.
Cheers,

Congratulations to Allison and Johnny, two deserving inductees.
I had the honor to be present at the induction ceremony/banquet Thursday night. A great time was had by all.
Our own loquacious Deno Andrews introduced Allison.

Allison and Johnny deserve this induction. I am very glad that the US Open played host to this ceremony. Thanks for everyone that made it happen for Allison and Johnny.
Congratulations Allison and Johnny from all of us at Samsara Cues. Your accomplishments on the table as well as your professionalism off the table make both of you true champions and well deserving of the Hall OF FAME induction.

Allison Fisher raised the bar so high that it changed women’s pool forever. She came along at a time when women’s pool had lost another great star, Jean Balukas. Women’s pool needed to have a superstar who could flat out play and Allison showed up with the skills and the demeanor. And not only in America, Allison inspired women players around the world to improve their game. She won so much in so many places that she was equally revered and feared on the table. And she still is. Even though, thanks to Allison, the standard of play is much higher on the WPBA, and even though the format was changed to give other players more of a shot at TV (jokingly called the “Allison Rule”), Allison Fisher still shows up in the final four and wins her fair share of events.
Johnny Archer is a machine like no other. When he gets in the zone he just plays perfect pool. There are players who make brilliant shots, always get out of line and manage to squeak out spectacular wins. Not Johnny. He just steps to the table, all business, plays the right patterns time after time, makes it look so easy. I grew up watching Johnny play and the only word that really captures his play that inspires me is consistent. He plays just like you think a textbook professional pool player ought to. Not flashy, not temperamental, just get it done and done the right way pool. His accomplishments certainly show us that this approach works because of the titles he has collected.
Two worthy players for the Hall of Fame and certainly both absolute MONSTER players!
My heartfelt congratulations to two of the games greatest players of all time. I have met and talked with both Allison and Johnny and they are the greatest ambassadors this sport could ever ask for. Truer champions do not exist. Well done to you both!!!!!
As a member of the USBMA, I feel honored and privileged to be part of the process that resulted in the voting in and subsequent induction of the two greatest players of their era. The Hall of Fame was everything one could imagine. Congratulations Allison and Johnny!!!
I’ve had the chance to spend some time with both of these people. As Gregory stated, they are great ambassadors of the sport. I attended a clinic put on by Johnny and Earl where you had the chance to play with one of the pros in a game of scotch doubles. I was lucky enough to draw Johnny as my partner, we won our game and it’s a memory I’ll always carry with me. He was a true gentleman. Congratulations to both Allison and Johnny, they are truly deserving of the Hall of Fame.
