The name of the site comes from the movie “The Hustler,” but of course you already knew that!

Fred Agnir
Fred Agnir has been playing pool for over 25 years with several league, and amateur state titles to his credit including the 2007 New Hampshire State 8-ball Championship. A degreed Mechanical Engineer, Fred is also the contributing writer for the monthly “Cue Makers Corner” article in InsidePOOL Magazine. He is a member of the United States Billiard Media Association.

Deno Andrews
Andrews is a cue collector, former professional 3-cushion player, and billiards historian. In his teenage years, he worked two summers for the late cue maker Ray Schuler. During his tenure as a player, he worked in Joe Gold’s shop helping to make the earliest Cognoscenti cues. Deno is a Contributing Editor to the Blue Book of Pool Cues, covering most of the Chicago-area cue makers both living and deceased. His chapters include such important and influential cue makers as Herman Rambow, Burton Spain, Craig Pertersen, David Kersenbrock, Joel Hercek, Joe Gold, and many more. Deno maintains 3Cushion.com, and The Cue Museum, two sites dedicated to cues and historical artifacts.

JimBo
Like Madonna, Shakira, Moses, and other one-name celebrities, in billiard circles, JimBo is the name! He knows cues and cue makers and isn’t afraid to tell it like he sees it. JimBo runs a discussion forum relating to pool with an emphasis on cues and cue collecting. His JimBoArmy.com web site is a must-see for cue fanatics. Jim Stadum is a founding member of the Academy of American Cue Art and also served for six years as Chairman of the Board for the American Cuemakers Association’s (ACA). He is also half of the cue making dynasty Samsara Cues, where he and long-time business partner Dave Doucette have turned out some of the most intricate cues ever made. Through the years, their unique style has earned them awards including: Best Design of Show, Best Execution of Show, and People’s Choice. The Smithsonian Institute has also recognized their talents; a unique cue named “Illusions” permanently resides at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC.
